About Us
Cara Lodge Residential Treatment Centre provides a free residential programme for males aged 14 – 18 years old who have substance misuse issues. The capacity of the residential centre is for 6 young people and the length of their stay is up to 12 weeks, dependent on the young person’s presenting need.
The residential centre is situated in a tranquil area of West Cork and it gives a young person the space needed to make decisions that contribute to a more positive lifestyle. Due to the high level of support and care needed for stabilisation and rehabilitation the residential setting is an integral part in the success of a young person’s treatment. Cara Lodge has a multidisciplinary staff team who deliver a highly structured and diverse treatment programme in the context of the young person and their families.

Cara Lodge has it’s own workshop, poly tunnels and building equipment. Involvement in project work allows young people to develop practical outdoor skills, such as: caring for animals, woodwork, building and growing their own vegetables.
